The Top 10 Ways to Recreate Yourself

You possess a high aptitude for what you do. It’s just that…you’re fed up with conventional thinking. You loathe the status quo. And you want to get to that next level. The one where jellyfish roam the sky. And where nutella is made of pie.

To get to this beautiful place, you’ll need to recreate yourself – to become the better version of you. Here are my ideas for the top 10 ways to recreate yourself in the new, connection economy:

1. Be more human

There’s lots of technology today. But you’ll need to find the human in the technology. Because emotion is what we exchange. Not the technology itself. And the emotional reality of what you’re living right now is how you align your thoughts, and how you feel the invincibility of being human.

Be more human by cutting to your core. Educate and evolve yourself to communicate with clarity. With simplicity. And with more impact.

2. Get Guts

One of the many things that gave me guts when I first started my business is Tyler Durden. Unfortunately, it did not come in the form of Brad Pitt. But rather Brad Pitt’s character in The Fight Club, which is nothing about fighting. And everything about the next phase of humanity.

Here is the quote:

“You’re not your job. You’re not how much money you have in the bank. You’re not the car you drive. You’re not the contents of your wallet. You’re not your fucking khakis.”

You can learn a lot from a minimalist mindset.

Are you defined by the stuff you own? Or by what you accomplish and create for the world?

Don’t let the stuff you own start to own you to the point that you can’t live the life you want to live and do the things you want to do.

Guts gives you creative fear. And creative fear lets you thrive.

3. Write

“I believe one writes because one has to create a world in which one can live. I could not live in any of the worlds offered to me – the world of my parents, the world of war, the world of politics. I had to create a world of my own, like a climate, a country, an atmosphere in which I could breathe, reign, and recreate myself when destroyed by living.” – Anais Nin

This…THIS quote by Anais Nin is precisely why I write. Writing is how I carved out my personal preferences in life. And it will manifest differently for you, if you choose to write.

Writing is how I learned about freedom: Freedom of expression. Freedom in business. Freedom in life.

And freedom is what leads to an open heart. An expansive mindset. And a world of abundance. {click to tweet!}

4. Live the curious life

“Curiosity is the lust of the mind.” – Thomas Hobbes

Curiosity is what sparks the hunger to learn.

The desire to discern the truth.

And the lust for information…

5. Lust for information

Lust for information. This sparks a new frequency. This frequency is filled with light that illuminates love, in all of its forms.

Because light is the frequency of information. And love is the frequency of co-creation {click to tweet!}

The new economy fuses these concepts in their incandescent, in-the-flesh forms.

And these are the pieces that make humanity evolve.

6. Embody the truest expression of you

It doesn’t matter whether you do this through music, painting, meditation, or being in nature. Simply find a way to channel the truest expression of you. Embody your expression in some sort of passionate art form. Make it mind-blowingly passionate while you’re at it. This passionate art form takes on new energies, which leads to the newer, better version of you.

7. Grace.

Grace is what gives you divine influence. This sacred revelation allows humanity to regenerate. It removes old layers of thought. It’s where you can live your truth, through the sophistication of your soul over time.

Grace inspires virtuosity.  And any non-virtuous impulses you may have transcends through transparency.

8. Intuition

Since planning your future is pointless, kiss the future instead – through intuition. Intuition allows you to embrace uncertainty. Plunge into invention. Listen, explore, and evolve to live out of your illusions.

9. Make nature your jam

When you don’t know what your dream life looks like anymore, look to nature. Nature is even better when you can sweat in it on a regular basis. Take a walk or run on the beach. Bike through mountains. Splash in the lake. Walk a dog. Your animal vitality is there for a reason. And it comes more fully alive when you become one with simple things.

10. Be uniquely you

“Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde

Don’t just be yourself. Learn about yourself.

Play at your edges. Mold your life like a sculptor.

Make your wonder as strong as your reality…

So that you can wander into your wild, white truth.

This is a mesmerizingly beautiful piece of work Jessica. You could have stopped after #1 and I'd be applauding just the same. But in points 2-9 you truly proved what you said in #1. Wow.
