I’ve found that . At least it is for me. This post is a way to hold myself accountable in the new year. Here are my three words for 2013:
1. Build.
You probably want to start the new year on a strong foundation. Whether that means marketing your business or re-branding your look, a blog and the content on the blog need to be sturdy in construction.
I spent the majority of 2012 learning what type of house I wanted to build. I set the foundation. Placed the bricks. 2013 is the year I plan on building from the ground up. Who’s with me?
2. Track.
In 2013, I plan on living the 80/20 rule – by picking the 20% of my important tasks that deliver 80% of the results. It’s a formula that will keep me on track. I’m all about results. And keep track of what works and what doesn’t. But sometimes tracking the process of getting to results falls off the wayside. Pattern recognition is important and tracking the pattern – or path – is how we recognize the patterns.
3. Focus.
2013 is about focusing on tasks at hand. I plan on removing distractions that take me off course. If I can’t remove them completely (which isn’t an easy feat), I’ll become more aware of the distractions – and how they affect my creative process.
What do you think? What are your three words for 2013?
