If you're not
Well, you don't have to be normal. You can sing anyway. And see if people join in on your musical. (You know you've always wanted to be that “crazy person” singing on the subway).
Or you can read the words and silently jam to yourself.
Sing it with me now: What's love got to do with it?
Love has everything to do with it. It forces you to do playful things. Like belt out some Tina Turner. Or do cartwheels down the beach. Or…you don't need me to tell you what else it can do. There are plenty of songs that explain this phenomenon.
What's love got to do with it?
As much as we want to believe that love is a stationary destination, it constantly evolves.
Love has to do with how you connect. And in today's world, writing is one way to connect.
But hold up. Don't just write and think you'll connect. Connecting is an art. It takes time to evolve. The very definition of evolve is “to develop gradually, from a simple to a more complex form.”
Writing is an instrument that stamps time. What you read or write today stems from a culminating past. And as much as we try to deny or forget our past, it shapes who you are. And your footprint stamps its mark…especially when no one is watching you leave your mark.
Write about what you learned from your past. And how it's shaping your present. Allow your words to reflect a unique time and place.
Writing comes naturally when there's passion in your heart. Conviction in your words. Truth in your soul.
Connection doesn't happen when you mouth the words.
It happens when you belt them out with all of your heart.
Belt out the words. It'll feel good.
Or learn how to belt out the words with me in this course.
